# Berliner Ferienschule

The Berliner Ferienschule is a free holiday programme in which young people get hands-on in workshops and science areas while learning German. It is aimed at young people with a migration background aged 12 to 21 who still have difficulties with the German language. It is run by TJP e.V., which has held holiday schools since 2015; the programme is part of the Deutsche Kinder- und Jugendstiftung and funded by Berlin's Senatsverwaltung für Bildung, Jugend und Familie. The aim is to explore the surroundings, improve language skills and ultimately promote integration.
