Der Schnittchenkauf at Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, Friday 25 December 2026, 19:30.

„Der Schnittchenkauf“ is a theatre evening on the Große Bühne at the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz. The staging by René Pollesch takes Brecht's „Messingkauf“ as its starting point, asking about the demands placed on theatre and the power relations between directing, stage design and acting. The text was written in 2011/12 with the help of numerous contributors such as Franz Beil, Diedrich Diederichsen, Sophie Rois and Martin Wuttke. The performance won the Friedrich-Luft-Preis 2025 and features Kathrin Angerer, Franz Beil, Rosa Lembeck, Milan Peschel and Martin Wuttke.
