"Die Grenzen der Sprache" (The Limits of Language) is a reading followed by a conversation about what words can express and what becomes audible through silence. Reading are Ghayath Almadhoun, Stefanie-Lahya Aukongo and Yang Lian, moderated by Maha El Hissy. The three writers come from different languages and poetic traditions, and their poems deal with uprooting, violence, memory, survival and belonging. The event is part of the Plural Citizenships programme.
