# Schöne Seelen

Schöne Seelen at Bundesplatz Studio, Thursday 26 November 2026.

“Schöne Seelen” is a drama-comedy film. It was directed by Tom Schreiber and stars August Diehl, Josef Hader, Maya Unger and others. Summer 1996: the day laborer Freddy leaves his life in Germany behind and ends up on the Costa Brava, where his old friend Johannes gets him a job with the nightclub owner Herbert. At first Freddy believes he is in paradise, but before the season is over he becomes the center of the grotesque decay of a drop-out community – a fool's drama in the pop trash of the 90s.
