# Silent Reading Party

Silent Reading Party at AGB | Salon, Wednesday 28 October 2026, 11:00.

The Silent Reading Party turns the library's Salon into one giant living room for quiet reading together. It is hosted by the Zentral- und Landesbibliothek Berlin, inviting people to warm up for its book club event on 19 November. Guests should bring cushions, blankets, snacks and their favourite book, and the novel „Zwischen uns liegt August“ by Fikri Anıl Altıntaş, co-winner of the Robert-Gernhardt-Preis 2026, is provided. No registration is needed, and anyone in the mood for something new can borrow a book from the shelves; however, the date has been cancelled and will be rescheduled.
