# Splitter

"Splitter" is a biographical theatre piece that collects memories of the GDR – flavoured by plum cake, old paper, crackling telephones or a particular shade of green – and reassembles them collage-like. Through stories, letters, lyrics, music and interactive moments, it traces a past that today often survives only in fragments. The piece was developed from the performers' own family histories, shaped by experiences of fleeing, leaving and staying behind, and asks what the GDR still has to do with us. Directed by Anna Vera Kelle, it is performed by Jana Heilmann, Yasmina Hempel and Marcus Thomas, lasts 90 minutes and is suitable from age 14.
