Athena is a monthly 1980s-themed party held at the bar Eagle London in Vauxhall. It is run by the venue with DJs Paul Joseph and Gareth Hackney, playing pop, disco, new wave, Hi-NRG, synth-pop, Euro pop and dance, from well-known anthems to lesser-known gems of the decade. Since 2017 it has offered this monthly mix to a friendly and inclusive crowd, and everyone is welcome to bring friends or dates or come alone.
