A four-evening beginners' kayaking induction programme held on Tuesday nights in October, introducing paddling on Shadwell Basin. Tower Hamlets Canoe Club runs it, with volunteer instructors covering the club's facilities, different boats and the basics for the Paddle UK Discover Award, ending with an invitation to a free BBQ. Participants who can swim 50 metres and are 18 or over can continue their membership afterwards and join the club's activities on the water.
