Cabaret is an immersive West End musical set in the Kit Kat Club in 1930s Berlin, staged in a Playhouse Theatre transformed into a 1930s nightclub. Directed by Rebecca Frecknall, it stars Matt Willis and Katie Hall and follows the English performer Sally Bowles, her relationship with the American writer Cliff Bradshaw, and the struggles of Fraulein Schneider and her Jewish lover Herr Schultz in Weimar Germany. Based on John van Druten's play and Christopher Isherwood's stories, with a book by Joe Masteroff, music by John Kinder and lyrics by Fred Ebb, the show has won seven Oliviers including Best Musical Revival. Featuring songs like Willkommen, Mein Herr and Cabaret, it runs about 2 hours 45 minutes including an interval.
