A screening of the film Dead Souls, followed by a live question-and-answer session with its director Alex Cox. Cox, director of Repo Man and Straight to Hell, stars as the drifter Strindler, who wanders the West offering to pay for the names of dead Mexican labourers, in a loose adaptation of Nikolai Gogol's novel. A meditative Western mixing picaresque humour and dark satire, with cowherds, outlaws and pistol duels, made with co-writer and Spaghetti Western legend Gianni Garko.
