# Rob Luft Quartet

Rob Luft Quartet at Vortex Jazz Club, Friday 30 October 2026, 19:45.

An evening of live jazz at the Vortex, a club in London's Gillett Square, with two sets by the Rob Luft Quartet. The quartet features Rob Luft on guitar, Joe Wright on tenor saxophone, Tom McCredie on bass and Corrie Dick on drums. Luft, a London-born guitarist named 'Instrumentalist of the Year' at the 2025 Parliamentary Jazz Awards, is counted among the most exciting jazz guitarists of his generation in Europe, with comparisons to Bill Frisell, John Abercrombie and Pat Metheny. His albums 'Riser' (2017) and 'Dahab Days' (2023) appeared on Edition Records, and he has collaborated with artists such as Elina Duni, John Surman and Anders Jormin on ECM Records.
