About

„A Private Man“ is a reading and conversation held in English without translation at the Katholische Akademie in Berlin. Stephanie Sy-Quia presents her debut novel, which tells the life story of her grandparents: how a Catholic priest and a woman, meeting in 1960s England, saw love grow out of their intellectual companionship. The evening takes place to mark the publication of the German translation „Den Himmel bewegen“, which comes out on 27 October with Suhrkamp. The author from London is hosted by the academy in Berlin.
