About

Aquarium Berlin is a historic zoological aquarium that has delighted visitors since it first opened its doors on 18 August 1913. After a three-year modernisation phase, the historic building has been ceremonially reopened while retaining its historic character. It is run by the Zoological Gardens of Berlin; zoo andTierpark director Dr. Andreas Knieriem reopened it together with Franziska Giffey, Senator for Economic Affairs, Energy and Operations of the State of Berlin. Greater accessibility and contemporary knowledge transfer with numerous interactive offerings make the visit more varied for explorers big and small.
