About
"Cantadoras I" is a concert in the new "Cantadoras" series, in which outstanding artists radically ask what a voice can be – ritual, resistance, myth or healing. At its centre is the celebrated Swedish-Ethiopian soprano, performer and composer Sofia Jernberg. She moves between contemporary composition, noise, free jazz and experimental vocal art; her voice spans five octaves, from guttural growl to crystalline overtones. The series is curated by Elisa Erkelenz.
