About

The film „لِمَن أَتَيْنَ قَبْلَنَا (Treat Me Like Your Mother)“ by Mohamad Abdouni offers insight into the intimate experiences of four trans women from Lebanon. It is a powerful act of queer archiving that celebrates friendship, survival, chosen family and the women who shaped Beirut's queer history. The screening is curated by ADIRA, a queer Arab*/SWANA party and cultural event series founded in 2023 by Hassandra and xanax_attax. ADIRA seeks to connect cities and queer Arab* communities and counters orientalist narratives through drag, club nights and community events.
