About
A reading and conversation with Janina Abels about her book on Berlin's most beautiful reading spots – from the Neukölln Italian kiosk to a smoky bohemian bar, from breakfast reading by the Landwehr Canal to reading all night long at the Schwarze Café. Abels roams the districts and shows where Berlin reads most beautifully, following the traces of Brecht or Herrndorf, whether insider tip or institution. The author, born in Upper Franconia, fell in love with Berlin during her studies, stayed to live and read there, and now works as a freelance translator and author. Moderation and the author talk are led by Thiele publisher Julius Hendricks.
