About
A concert by the trio Ensemble Iran Ava featuring kamancheh, setar and vocals, percussion and piano. Founded in 2023 by Yaser Bayat, a composer and former lecturer at the University of Tehran, the ensemble aims to bring the authentic sounds of Iranian instruments into an international musical dialogue. For this trio programme Bayat composed a new work as a sonic bridge between Orient and Occident, where composed structures meet a lively spirit of improvisation. Alongside Bayat, the three academically trained musicians Maten Goldstein (percussion) and Daniel Stavinski (piano) promise a new, boundless musical language.
