Entlang der Berliner Mauer

Entlang der Berliner Mauer is a guided bicycle tour following the former Berlin Wall border strip and the Berlin Wall Cycle Route. Berlin on Bike runs it in small groups through Prenzlauer Berg and onwards to places such as the Bornholmer Straße crossing, Bernauer Straße, the Berlin Wall Memorial, Mauerpark, a surviving watchtower at Kieler Eck and the government district. Riders hear about Germany's division and Cold War Berlin, about daily life in the GDR, escape stories and the opening of the Wall on 9 November 1989, with stops at original sites. The ride takes 3.5 hours and covers 12 to 15 kilometres, with bicycles and helmets provided, starting and finishing at the Kulturbrauerei.
