Glaube

Glaube (Los domingos) is a drama about 17-year-old Ainara, who at a Catholic school in Spain, shortly before her final exams, announces that she wants to enter a convent. In her second feature film, the Basque director Alauda Ruiz de Azúa weaves seething emotional worlds into calm, graceful images. While her somewhat indifferent father Iñaki stays out of the matter, her self-determined aunt Maite does everything to talk Ainara out of her plan. The film was awarded Best Film in San Sebastián and won five Goya prizes.
