ICH BIN NICHT STILLER!
Project Space Kimgo, John-Schehr-Straße 1, Prenzlauer Berg
About
ICH BIN NICHT STILLER! is a group exhibition on the still life at Kimgo Project Space in Berlin. It brings together the three Berlin artists Tom Früchtl, Simon Wachsmuth and René Wirths. The title opens Max Frisch's 1954 novel „Stiller“ and serves as a semantic pointer to the exhibition's subject, while also paraphrasing René Magritte's painting of a pipe. The artists set their respective artistic takes on the still life against one another, playing with being and time and the supposedly dead things.
