Jazz Cafe - Kontrapunkt Berlin Colophony zum 75. Geburtstag von Jon Rose

A jazz concert at the Industriesalon Schöneweide marking the 75th birthday of violinist Jon Rose. It is hosted by Jazzkeller69 e.V., who welcome Jon Rose, a former Berlin resident, back to the city. The international line-up of woodwinds, brass, strings and drums performs what Rose calls „rogue counterpoint“ – parallel lines of melodic creativity and independent timbres that may or may not submit to harmonic logic or accepted contrapuntal practice. The line-up features Jon Rose on violin, Conny Bauer on trombone, Frank Gratkowski on reeds, Meinrad Kneer on bass and Steve Heather on drums and percussion.
