JAZZIK „Electrolights“
Haus des Rundfunks, Masurenallee 8-14 14057 Berlin
About
JAZZIK „Electrolights“ is an orchestral concert featuring music from America, South Africa and England. The evening is presented by the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, conductor Vimbayi Kaziboni and pianist Zubin Kanga, who also plays keyboards and an AI synthesizer. The programme includes Duke Ellington's ballet music „Three Black Kings“, a homage to Martin Luther King, Andile Khumalo's „The Light We Carry“ about voices from Africa, and Rob Laidlow's premiere „Techno-Utopia“, built from hundreds of quotations and samples. Afterwards, Jazzanova play a DJ set in the foyer.
