About

Kintsugi is a contemporary circus piece performed at the Chamäleon by an ensemble of nine acrobats. It is produced by Machine de Cirque, a company from Québec in Canada founded in 2013. The title refers to the Japanese craft of mending broken pottery with gold so that the cracks remain visible. Set at a bus stop, the characters try to leave something behind, work through their own stories over the course of a day and a night, and together face a new morning, with numerous circus disciplines woven through the dreamlike staging.
