Kleiner Kosmos Sand

“Kleiner Kosmos Sand” is an open workshop experimenting with kinetic sand, a special material that sticks to itself and can be reshaped again and again. Participants knead, press, layer and cut the sand, capturing forms and outlines with a pencil that are then shown in very different sizes, sometimes magnified, sometimes projected huge onto a wall. Like the artist Jeewi Lee in her exhibition “Residual Memories”, the focus is on traces left by movements in the sand that are easily overlooked in everyday life. The workshop is for children from age 3 and adults, and anyone can join at any time.
