At the reading training, children in grades 1 to 3 practise reading German for 15 minutes in a quarter-hour slot. Reading mentors from the Central and State Library Berlin help them one-on-one in a safe environment. Each session earns the child points, and after five sessions a small surprise awaits as a reward. The offer is for children aged 6 and over, and booking an appointment is required.
