“Core” is an exhibition opening at the Capitain Petzel gallery. Behind it is the artist Leyla Yenirce, who appropriates, alienates and samples photographs taken by a news agency on her canvases, overlaying them with brightly colored oil pastels, paint and acrylic spray. Her work has been recognized with the Finkenwerder Förderpreis from HFBK Hamburg, where she completed her master’s degree under Jutta Koether in 2022. The opening invites visitors to discover the artist’s new works on site.
