About
Mystical Dimensions – Die Schatzkammer der Liebe – 1001 Sufi-Geschichten is an event of dance and readings at the Humboldt Forum that offers fascinating insights into the storytelling tradition of the mystical Orient. Behind it is the Sufi Centre Rabbaniyya, which cooperates with the European Centre for Sufism and Interreligious Encounters e.V. and runs an exhibition area in the Ethnologisches Museum. Inspired by Hazrat Farid ad-Din Attar's „Mantıq-at Tayr“ (The Conference of the Birds), the series explores the Sufi journey towards self-knowledge. Meditative chants and the dances of the whirling dervishes transport visitors into the mystical dimensions of traditional Sufism.
