About

Pause on Quantum Matter is a communal space for reading, resting and discussing at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt. It is hosted as part of the Fertile Void 2026 programme and Berlin Science Week. Visitors can immerse themselves in pluralistic perspectives on theorems of the quantum sciences, surrounded by beanbags and books. Building on contributions by Cécile Malaspina, Muindi Fanuel Muindi and Sha Xin Wei, the library focuses on „Belauschen“ – eavesdropping on quantum particles – and how we can perceive them with our senses.
