About
»Pippi Langstrumpf« is a children's opera in two acts based on Astrid Lindgren. Franz Wittenbrink wrote the music and Susanne Lütje and Anne X. Weber the libretto for the piece, which the Komische Oper Berlin commissioned. Pippi moves into the Villa Kunterbunt to wait there for her father, a captain lost at sea on their last adventure, and the neighbouring children Annika and Tommy quickly befriend her. The show is performed in German, lasts about two hours including an interval and is recommended from school year one.
