The Open Mic Slam Show at the Shape Festival opens the stage to anyone who wants to perform their own poems live, whether first-time slam poets or stage professionals. The evening is hosted by Jule Thomsen, who for over four years has been a fixture of the German-language poetry slam scene, packing her mostly autobiographical texts with activist content and cheeky humour. Participants can register online or on site, and participants of the poetry slam workshop also get the chance to take the stage. The event lasts about 60 minutes and takes place in Studio 14.
