POP!

"POP! – Populäre Kritik und Kritik des Populären" is an evening of readings and discussion about the popular in literature and the role of literary criticism. The critic Marie Luise Knott, the literary scholar Moritz Baßler and the culture journalist Kevin Schieber debate, moderated by zæsur editor Asmus Trautsch. They discuss the role of the popular in contemporary poetry and prose, and how popular criticism can reach a new, larger and younger audience through humour, pointedness and serious engagement. The event is jointly organised by zæsur.poesiekritik and Haus für Poesie.
