About

"Prima Facie" is a theatre play shown in the Kammer hall of the Deutsches Theater. The award-winning monologue by Australian author Suzie Miller, here directed by András Dömötör with Mercy Dorcas Otieno as Tessa, tells of a successful criminal defence lawyer who, after a sexual assault by her colleague, turns from defender to accuser. The play asks whether the legal system Tessa believes in will protect her in the end or let her down. It is staged as a German-language premiere and deals with sexualised violence and the gaps in criminal law.
