About

Sediment is an exhibition by Qusay Awad at the Bärenzwinger, a municipal gallery in Berlin. Qusay Awad is a Berlin-based architect and multidisciplinary artist born in As-Suwayda, Syria, who traces the material, social, and historical layers that have settled at the Bärenzwinger over time through archival research and close study of the site. The project brings together site-specific structures, sound, 3D reconstructions, and archival material, viewing architecture as a living archive that continuously accumulates new meanings and relationships. The curators are Alin Daghestani and Hannah van der Est.
