"SOHLE EINS-ACHTZIG" is a machine comedy for phonola and theatrum mundi, a puppet theatre piece followed by a discussion. Puppeteer Moritz Schönbrodt and composer Johannes Kürschner tell of Heiko, a man believed dead who resurfaces with the earth one 26 March. When rubble buried him, coal was still black gold; now he stands as an undead figure in a new world of lakes, forests and overgrowing grass. Using contemporary music, a historical player piano and mechanical theatre, the piece explores failing to forget the past.
