About
"Szenen des Schwindels" is a talk in the Rangfoyer of the Deutsches Theater, part of the "Deutscher Herbst" series. The cultural and media scholar Rebekka Ladewig explores why dizziness is felt as both threatening and pleasurable, and what happens when the world falls out of joint with our bodies and perception. She traces the experimentalisation of dizziness that led, over the course of the 19th century, to the discovery of the balance organ in the inner ear. Admission is free.
