"Where Life Feels Different" is a photo exhibition presenting a photographic journey through Kolkata, India. It documents the gradual immersion into a city that at first seemed foreign and overwhelming. The project comes from Galerie Streulicht; the work began with cautious observation and developed into a far more personal and immediate form of documentation, drawing closer to the people, their gestures and everyday routines and revealing moments of intensity, vulnerability and human closeness amid the city's visual chaos. The project tells as much about the experience of opening oneself to a place as about the place itself, and it will also be available as a strictly limited photo book.
