Wie das Meer und seine Wogen

This is a screening of "Wie das Meer und seine Wogen" followed by a conversation with the filmmaker. Edna Politi, a Jewish filmmaker born in Lebanon, follows two women who went to school together in Lebanon and meet again in Paris: Eva went to Jerusalem as a Jew, Samia stayed in Beirut as a Muslim. The only feature film in a trilogy about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict painfully shows who is able to return. The screening of the restored version, celebrating its German premiere, is curated by Fiona Berg, Sophie Holzberger and Arisa Purkpong.
