Yoga im MIM

„Yoga im MIM“ is a tandem workshop that makes the harmonium tangible through sound, history and the body. A yoga teacher and a museum guide of the Musikinstrumenten-Museum jointly lead through the instrument's story: developed in Europe, it reached India during the colonial era, where it was rebuilt to be played with a hand bellows instead of foot pedals. After a walk through the museum's exhibition, a yoga session in the gallery follows, accompanied live by keyboard instruments. Meditative harmonium sounds close the event; it suits the curious, beginners and advanced practitioners, places are limited and registration is requested by phone.
