About
The exhibition "Zu dumm, daß ich nicht 'namhaft' bin." – Marlene Poelzig im Charlottenburg der Moderne is devoted to the sculptor and architect Marlene Poelzig. It presents her work through three key buildings: the Capitol cinema at the Zoo, the Haus des Rundfunks, and her house and studio in Westend. It was initiated and conceived by the Initiative Haus Marlene Poelzig and Urbanophil e.V., who have championed her legacy since the villa's demolition and oppose demolitions. It also shows that Poelzig could not continue her artistic work in National Socialist Berlin and was marginalised in post-war architectural history.
