About

Champagne is a big, bold and campy gothic-horror comedy play. Vampire Count Stabbenspine visits his childhood friend Duchess Marguerite and brings a terrible curse, and her son Edvin must save his mother and the disgraced sledge-manservant Igor from the terror in the night. The piece comes from Down The Well Productions and reimagines characters from vintage gothic horror classics like Dracula and Frankenstein with a comic burlesque twist. It returns to London after a sell-out run at the Old Red Lion Theatre last October, packed with horror-genre quirks, hilarious characters and camp spectacle.
