CIRCLE — LINE — SQUARE

A group exhibition bringing together paintings, sculptures, photographs and conceptual works by nine artists alongside Shanghai Art Deco furniture and design pieces. It explores how the three elemental geometric forms of its title are interpreted across contemporary artworks and design objects, and how circles, lines and squares recur in Art Deco façades, furniture and object details. The exhibition reveals Shanghai's singular historical connection to Art Deco, a defining element of the city's architectural and design language in the first half of the twentieth century. It is staged at ART & DECO Gallery in Shanghai's M50 Creative Park and presented by ART & DECO Gallery and Lisson.
