Class Enemy

A screening of the film Class Enemy, followed in the build-up by a recorded introduction from its director and co-writer. The film is a Slovenian drama set almost entirely inside a school, where a stern German teacher with nerves of steel, played by veteran actor Igor Samobor, takes over a class on maternity cover. After the tragic death of class member Sabina, fingers start being pointed, and the story handles themes including grief, the sanctity of the classroom space, and the philosophy of teaching.
