About

D/deaf Cafe is a free monthly gathering in the Gallery Cafe where people come together to chat using British Sign Language, with 'voices off' actively encouraged. St Margaret's House runs it in collaboration with Remark's Community Team, creating an inclusive space whether BSL is your first language, you are learning, or you want to increase your D/deaf awareness. Each session includes a presentation by a key guest, typically a D/deaf professional or someone supporting the D/deaf community, followed by conversation and sign practice. It runs for three hours with drinks available to buy during the first hour, and drop-ins are welcome.
