Digital Deliberative Spaces, Infrastructure, & Methods

A session on how people collectively think, discuss, and decide what they think about an issue, ideally enabling peaceful synthesis of conflicting preferences and needs. It is part of the Introduction to Political Technology programme at Newspeak House, open to faculty, fellows, and fellowship candidates only. The session covers online deliberation tools such as Polis, Twitter's Community Notes, and vTaiwan's open consultation platform, alongside books on deliberative democracy and organisations working in citizen assemblies and participatory democracy.
