Huskies Night is a music evening at Orpington Liberal Club, set up by founding father Dave Silk. Singers, musicians, poets and spoken word acts are encouraged to take a floorspot, solo or backed by a first-class band of accomplished jazz musicians. Regulars include singers Jacci Norris and Mieko Kanai, guitarist Simon Goodwin, pianist Richard Simmons, bass player John Pead and percussionist Bryan Britten. Highlights also include a raffle for a can of spam and other prizes, with a cash hat collection for the musicians at a suggested minimum of £5.
