About
Jawdance is a performance poetry night featuring honest and real storytelling, a resident DJ, and an open mic with typically ten slots for anyone to take the stage. It is presented by Apples and Snakes, a national organisation that has championed performance poetry for over forty years and puts artists first. The night welcomes everyone, from first-timers to seasoned performers, in a warm and welcoming poetry community. Performances include writers such as Amina Jama, Akila Richards, and Roger Robinson, with a collaboration with Flipped Eye Publishing.
