About
Mojo is a black comedy play set in the Soho clubland of the 1950s, where the murder of a club owner leaves those behind locked in a brutal fight for control. It is the landmark debut play of Jez Butterworth, the author of Jerusalem, first performed at the Royal Court in 1995 and winner of an Olivier Award for Best New Comedy. The story follows rising star Silver Johnny and a world of brewing rivalries and fractured loyalties amid the glitz and glamour of the 1950s rock n roll scene.
