About

Natural Dye Studio is a hands-on workshop introducing the art of natural dyeing. Participants explore the history of plant dyes, see dyes in their raw form from plant to fabric, and experiment with the discharge method using pre-dyed fabric sheets, fresh lemons, and a citric-acid and guar gum paste to create their own patterns. The session is led by Porscha Hill of Porscha Hill Natural Dye Studio, a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and founder of the gender-neutral fashion brand Bad Habits London. It is aimed at anyone curious about sustainability, plant dyes or their creative side, and each participant leaves with their own piece of textile art.
