About

Stranger Things: The First Shadow is a stage play at the Phoenix Theatre, a prequel to the Netflix series Stranger Things set in the town of Hawkins. It was written by Kate Trefry and Jack Thorne from the Duffer Brothers' story, directed by Stephen Daldry with co-director Justin Martin, and produced by Sonia Friedman's company with Stephen Daldry and Netflix. The story moves to Hawkins in 1959, where a young Jim Hopper and Joyce Maldonado face the past as a new student, Henry Creel, arrives. The show runs about three hours including one interval and is recommended for ages 12 and up.
