Sword Fighting Demonstration
Shakespeare's Globe, New Globe Walk 21, SE1 9DT London, Southwark
£15
About
A sword fighting demonstration where the Globe Fight Team battles it out with expert displays. It explores questions such as the difference between a rapier and a smallsword and how often weapons would have been seen in Shakespeare's London, comparing the fights in Shakespeare's plays with real street fights of 16th-century London. Visitors can also handle the weapons themselves in a photo opportunity. The demonstration does not include a visit into the Globe Theatre and meets in the main foyer.
